The team at Safety Nets, is proud to confirm that in February 2009, the company was admitted as a corporate member into the New Zealand Safety Council. (www.safetycouncil.org.nz)
The mission of the NZSC is:-
"to promote Best Practice in Health and Safety Management and Environmental Protection in all aspects of New Zealand Life"
The executive director of NZSC, Mr David Calvert, has been extremely supportive
of SNNZ, and has accompanied us on a tour of a project in Manukau to see how we operate.
Mr Calvert said that he was impressed, not only with the practicalities of what was provided by way of the nets themselves, and the obvious benefits that they offered with regards to safety of personnel working at height, but also with the quality and depth of our extensive project specific documentation that ensures the compliance of not only the installation of the nets, but also the nets themselves.

Safety Nets NZ Ltd recently flew UK based FASET approved trainer, Mr. John Moran, to New Zealand to train several members of our team in the art of safety net rigging.
John is one of only six FASET approved trainers in the UK, and he operates extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East training and assessing safety net riggers.
John spent a week with us, by the end of which all our team members successfully passed the intense theoretical and practical assessment that John carries out.
All of our team members are now fully authorized to install safety nets , and have been awarded the International Riggers Certificate , the first to be issued in New Zealand. Our team members are the only ones in the country who have achieved this status, and therefore they are the only riggers in New Zealand that are recognised by FASET as being able to install safety nets on projects in New Zealand.
A representative for the Department of Labour attended several of John's sessions, and was impressed with Johns professionalism, knowledge and expertise.
